What is Funky Fitness PDX all about anyway?
My motto is, “If you think exercise is boring, you’re doing it wrong.” Remember when we used to just go play? I just want to do that. So I do. I go out and find active ways to play and share them with you. Enjoy, and join me, won’t you?

Who is Katrina?
Sometimes I’m a dancer, sometimes I’m a ninja. But, I’ll tell you what; I’m never bored! I have solid training in Ballroom, Salsa, and Muay Thai, and dabble in ballet, Jiu Jitsu, and several other random activities. But, I’m always looking for something new. I like to challenge not only my body, but also my mind and my comfort zone.
No, I’m not a fitness expert. I’m just really into it. A self proclaimed fitness connoisseur, I’m often asked, “Do you ever stop moving?”. The answer is, of course, “Not if I can help it!” I’m always on to the next thing. If I have an unplanned day, I go straight to my ever growing list of new things to try.
Over the past few years I’ve had fun discovering some of the fantastic outlets for excess energy that Portland has to offer. Now, I get to take you along and be your tour guide through Portland’s alternative fitness scene. Let’s go have some fun!
